Our Firm

Small by design. Senior by principle.

New York Business Brokers is a boutique Manhattan firm built on a simple conviction: the sale of a business is too important to be handed to a junior associate or lost inside a franchise machine.

Our Story

Eighteen years of New York deals

The firm was founded in 2008 — in the teeth of the financial crisis — by brokers who believed that even in the hardest market, well-run New York businesses would always find buyers if they were priced honestly and marketed discreetly. That belief carried us through the crisis, through a pandemic that reshaped Main Street, and through more than 315 closed transactions worth over $240 million.

We have deliberately stayed small. Every engagement is led by a senior broker with a decade or more of deal experience, supported by the same research and marketing team across every file. There is no hand-off after the listing agreement is signed, no call center, and no pressure to take an overpriced listing just to fill a pipeline.

Our clients are the people who make this city run: the couple selling the restaurant they built over twenty years, the contractor whose company outgrew his ambition to run it, the family choosing a buyer who will keep their name on the truck, and the first-time buyer betting their savings on a laundromat in Bushwick. We take every one of those stories personally.

How We Work

The principles behind every engagement

Confidentiality first

Blind profiles, staged disclosure and NDAs before any identifying detail leaves this office. Your staff, customers and landlord hear about the sale from you — when you choose.

Honest numbers

We would rather lose a listing than take it at a fantasy price. Every valuation we publish is one we are prepared to defend in front of buyers, lenders and accountants.

Aligned incentives

Success fees, paid at closing. When we recommend accepting, countering or walking away, the advice is driven by your outcome — because ours depends on it.

Work with brokers who treat your exit like their own
